Covid-19 Visitor Information

Westchester Center is offering In-Person visitation 7 days a week. Visitation appointments no longer need to be scheduled in advance.
Suggested Visitation Schedule: 8am to 8pm.
Please read through the following information before visiting.
1The Facility will screen visitors for signs and symptoms of COVID-19 prior to resident access and will prohibit entry to visitor(s) exhibiting any COVID-19 symptoms or that do not pass the screening questions. Screening shall consist of temperature checks and questions to assess potential exposure to COVID-19.
2The following information must be provided for each visitor: first and last name of the visitor, time of facility entry, temperature, telephone number, and resident name and room number.
3As per NYS Department of Health, ALL VISITORS (regardless of vaccination status) must present a negative Covid-19 test taken within 24 hours of your visit. In an effort to make this easier for family members, our facility is supplying visitors with self-test rapid kits. (Due to limited supply of test kits, each visitor will be given one 2-pack per week).
4Masks must be worn at ALL TIMES while on facility premises.
5Visitors should not wander throughout the facility. Visitors should go directly to the designated visitation area or the resident’s room.
6Visitors under the age of 18 years old MUST be accompanied by an adult 18 years of age or older.
* Compassionate care visits, medically necessary visits, end of life visits, and visits required under federal disability rights law are always allowed, regardless of the county’s COVID-19 positivity rate or an outbreak. This type of visit should be scheduled with the resident’s Social Worker.
In an effort to keep all our residents and staff safe, please be sure to follow the above visitation policies set forth by NYS Department of Health and our Facility Policies.
In accordance with the NYSDOH Health Advisory, if any visitor fails to adhere to the Facility’s visitation plan and to the core principles of COVID-19 infection prevention, he/she/they will be not be permitted to visit and may be asked to leave.
